Education

Some times we become fixated on this Idea that he or she has had a good education or a Bad education. But, what I have found is that Education is like a gun its not good or bad, it's neutral. The good or the bad is in the temperament of the wielder of that education. I am not saying that there is not Truth or Truth is relative, I am not saying that Ideas don't have Consequences. But we shouldn't be afraid of education no matter what the source, As long as we can know where to seek truth and are grounded in it. Let me use some examples , Who was the most Influential person in the old testament ...... Moses right, what Kind of Education did he have Growing up???? The best secular education the world at that time had to offer Right... Who was the Most Influential person in the new testament? (save our lord and Savior ) Saul (later Known as Paul), who was first educated in Grease and then as a Pharisee, what did all that education do for him, at first it made him a violent persecutor of Christ, until Truth Met him on the Road to Damascus, and Paul then was able to use all of that secular education as ammo or a tool to be the Apostle to the Gentiles. The Point I am Trying to make is that we need to be educated in all areas of life, and know the different view points even if you disagree with them, Because a True student can learn from any one.

Sin

Sin will separate you from Gods word or Gods word will separate you from Sin Last Sunday Pastor Mark Liddel gave a Great sermon on how sin isn't just in the doing of the don't do's but, in not doing in the do's If that makes any sense http://www.dominionbaptist.org/journal/index.php/2009/06/28/am-the-doctrine-of-sin/

He also talks about pastor Dickie's book

Truth

I often wonder about the people who would make the statement that "there is no truth," It seems to me that it would be hard to find truth in that statement wouldn't it , because if there is no truth then how can that statement be true. common sense
